Beltangady, Jun 15: Two shops got completely gutted in fire that occurred due to electrical short circuit on the night of Friday, June 14 near the bus stand of the town.

Stylo Hair Dressers and a fancy store, belonging to Keshava Bhandary, a resident of Raghavendra Nagara of Laila village of the taluk are the shops that were reduced to ashes due to the mishap.

Harish Poonja, the local MLA, who came to know about the incident, called Keshava Bhandary, owner of the shops and consoled him and assured of possible help.
