Mangaluru, Jun 15: Former minister Ramanath Rai has been asked to attend the court for the hearing on the case of alleged defamation of Chakravarti Sulibele.

When Ramanath Rai was the minister, he had allegedly used abusive language and derogatory words insulting Chakravarti Sulibele, guide of Yuva Brigade in the meeting of Congress workers, that was held at Asaigoli on the outskirts of the city.

Rahim Uchil, vice-president of state BJP Minority Morcha, had filed a complaint about the same in the second JMFC court of the city. The complaint has been received by the court now and it has asked Ramanath Rai to present himself for the hearing to be held next month.
