Gadag, Jun 14: A special puja had been organized at Lord Hanuman temple in Ron taluk of the district recently. The unique feature of this prayer was that there were Muslim women among those who sought Lord Hanuman's intervention. The prayer was offered seeking the Lord’s grace in the form of good rainfall in the region.

Water problem has been an integral part of one's life in districts located in Hyderabad Karnataka region. Because of the fact that acute water shortage that makes the family members to work hard and spend lot of time to fetch water from distant places and also because access to drinking water is very limited, the people here commonly perform different kinds of pujas and austerities to appease gods towards getting early and enough rainfall. This time, Muslim women from Srinagar here joined their Hindu counterparts to appease the rain god with the intervention of Lord Hanuman towards getting rain.

The puja was planned last week. The incident got wide publicity after the matter got spread through social media. Many residents of Srinagar had come to Lord Maruti (Hanuman) temple last Saturday and offered puja seeking good rainfall and agricultural yield this year. The puja got special attention because of the fact that there were Muslims among the women who offered prayers in the temple.

One of the participants, Ranjanabi Badin, said that the region has not got enough rainfall since the last several years. "In the past, the people here used to live harmoniously without differentiating between people belonging to other castes and religions. Now things have changed. However, we should protect the unity and harmony as before. If we nourish communal harmony, the Lord will bless us. Therefore, we visit Lord Maruti temple to perform puja," she explained.

Another Muslim devotee, Katunabi Mugali, insists that the Lord is the same for everyone and that the temple is just a medium to reach the Lord.

"When Muslim ladies evinced interest in performing puja, we happily took them to the temple. We offered special puja to the lord. This kind of mentality augurs well for the society, and it is good that this news has spread everywhere," said Meenakshi Shivashimpi.

If the Hanumans tail is on the left side he is a generous god. But if he wags it on the right side then he will hit you with his gadha.

I want to do research on silly myths of Hinduism. After all, I am a rice bag as per Kattar Hindutvavaadis.

Hindus ,christians, muslims ,jains or anyone else.To us we are creation of that one Supreme God.
Donot seggregate from each other.Just because we muslim love that one God.We don't have problem with temples or any other worship places. We are just disliking the prostration towards idols as it hurts that one true God.

If truly God was separate for each religion then each God would have had different blood colors in his creation, not only red. We wouldn't have been breathing same oxygen and giving out same CO2.

May Almighty give wisdom to all humans.May hatred perish.

As long as we are in comfort zone, nothing bothers us and question of religion does not arise and differentiate the religion for trivial, ridiculous reason.Fact is that God,the super power is the one for all religion. Worshiping, believing and reaching to him is different mode by different castes.
Religion will unite only we face calamities, famine and other problems. Then only we work together without any bias. This is the trend prevailing in the society.Happy to know that Muslim women among devotees who implored Lord Hanuman for rains in Gadag. If we work together in unity and try to live harmoniously, nothing will happen.Union is strength, united we stand, divided we fall. This is the saying being practising since long.

Devaru kana kanadalli eedane. It means sastikartha present everywhere. Without his knowledge we cannot do anything. As we lit candle in a room...we can presume light all over in room...but we cannot go near to it to it's source. Likewise god present in seventh heaven..his presence everywhere present in the universe. You can able to assume of his presence. As we cannot go near to him to his original source..we can bow from here...assuming his presence. Prayer with pure heart and good deeds done in whole life...will be answered without doubt..if you belonged to any religion...even your way of worship is different. As it's like water from either small pond.
lake or river latter on it should join in sea only.
