Bengaluru: Rs 90 crore Injaz Builders scam - Director Misbah Mukarram arrested

Bengaluru, Jun 13: Bengaluru City Crime Branch (CCB) police arrested Injaz Builders founder director Misbah Mukarram who was absconding after allegedly duping Rs 90 crore of his investors. Mukarram was into real estate and aviation industry business.

CCB police team under the leadership of inspector Yathiraj arrested Mukarram on Wednesday night. “It is alleged that he was absconding for the last two months after cheating several people in the guise of Halal money,” said additional director general of police (crime) Alok Kumar.

It is reported that Mukarram was conducting large scale business similar to chain link. The company had assured huge profits to its investors in the name of Halal investments. The assurance encouraged a large number of people to invest money.

An income tax raid was conducted on the company in 2017. The department had identified nearly 3,500 bank accounts belonging to Injaz Builders during the raid.

    Arrested this alleged scamster, as the loot was peanuts, compared to Mansoor Khan, IMA, kingpin of Halal free, investments... safely in Dubai !!! Will certainly flee to other nations, like Malaysia, where another wanted criminal is holed up !!!!!

    3,500 bank accounts? If cash withdrawal is limited to Rs.2 lakhs, he can withdraw Rs.70 crores cash ! I don't think this is possible without the glove in hand with bankers. My suggestion is one person should have only one account in any one of the banks. If this policy was implemented before the demonetization, the very purpose of demonetization would have been more successful.
