Youth loses life in a bike accident on Mumbai-Goa Highway

Mumbai, May 26: In a tragic accident on Friday afternoon, a 23-year-old biker died and his pillion was severely injured after their motorbike crashed into a car in Panvel Taluk near Shirdone pada on the Mumbai Goa Highway. As per police, the car driver all of a sudden took a right turn due to which the biker lost control and crashed into the car.

The car was driven by Manaj Jande (44), a Nashik civil contractor who was later booked and arrested for negligence causing death.

Police sub inspector Santosh Ugalmugale said the rider Aniket Gowari (23) a komothe resident owned a milk diary and his pillion Sangam Bhoir (22) a drawing teacher and resident of Panvel was admitted in Gandhi hospital and is in the ICU. The officer said the youth were on their way to book a Ganapathi idol.
