ATM fraud: Bulgarian man held in Mapusa

Saligao, May 25: A Bulgarian man was arrested by Mapusa police on Friday for installing a card skimming device at an ATM machine of a bank at Khorlim in Mapusa.  The arrested Bulgarian national is identified as Dimitrov Jorge Yankov.

Inquiries were initiated by Mapusa police into the matter after a bank employee found the device at the ATM machine during a routine check.

Working on the assumption that the people who had installed the skimming device would return to retrieve the data stolen through it, the police decided to lay a trap around the ATM booth. When Yankov came at midnight to check the skimmer, he was arrested. A case has be registered under sections 380 and 516 IPC. PSI Francisco Xavier is investigating the case.

    O my God they reached there also.Here in Europa these do everywhere and try to loot money.Not only bulgarians but other country men too.
