Bantwal: Police constable found dead under suspicious circumstances

Bantwal, May 22: The lifeless body of a police constable was found lying in a vacant site located opposite a private hospital at Viveknagar, B C Road, on Tuesday May 21 evening.

The police have established the identity of the deceased person as that of Jagadish (30), a native of Chendthimar here. He was currently deployed at Mangaluru.

The mortal remains of Jagadish were found behind a heap of mud in a corner of the vacant site. The staff of the hospital who saw the body, conveyed information to the police. The police visited the spot and found out that the person who was no more was their own colleague.

The police said that Jagadish was working in the district armed forces unit at Mangaluru and that he was unmarried. Further investigation has been undertaken.
