Mangaluru: Shreemathi murder - Accused Jonas remanded to judicial custody

Mangaluru, May 20: Jonas Julin Samson (36), who happens to be the main accused in the murder case of Shreemathi Shetty, resident of Amar Alva Lane here, was produced in the presence of the judge on Saturday May 18 night. He was remanded to judicial custody till May 29.

Victoria Mathias (46), wife of Jonas, and Raju (35) from Kavoor Marakada, in whose house Jonas had parked his two-wheeler that was used for disposing of the body parts of Shreemathi after cutting them into small pieces in different parts of the city, had been arrested on May 15.


Jonas Julin Samson

Raju was arrested as the police accuse him of sheltering a criminal. Both of them have been remanded to judicial custody till May 29.

    Jossey sir, in the first two murders (he killed his own uncle) he was left free. So third time too he got courage thinking he will come out from this crime also .. Since he was owning mobile canteen, he definitely had choppers, knives to cut the meat.. It was given to understand that he was doing well in the business until his chef left to North east. He had good income for sure. Within a month money what he earned he spent? When he stopped his canteen, he could have engaged in other jobs which are available plenty on daily wages instead of eating someone's hard earned money. Disgusting couple..
