Puttur, May 14: Inaugural programme of the academic year 2019-20 and felicitation to Distinction holders was held at St Philomena P U College on May 11.

The programme was inaugurated by the dignitaries by lighting the lamp.

Fr Alfred J Pinto, the correspondent of the college in his presidential remarks said that we should have trust in God and we should lead our life with simplicity and dignity.

Fr Dr Antony Prakash Montheiro, campus director and chairperson of PG center said that we have to change the way of thinking. He also said that creativity leads to success.

Fr Vijay Lobo, principal of the college welcomed the students and appreciated the achievers. He congratulated the achievers for their tremendous achievement.

Three rank holders and seventy distinction holders were felicitated on the occasion.

Yashwanth MD, department of Biology welcomed the gathering. Satyalatha Rai, department of English rendered the vote of thanks. Santhosh Clarence D’Souza, department of Commerce compered the programme.
