Udupi: Fetal Medicine and Geriatrics department inaugurated at Kasturba Hospital, Manipal

Udupi, Apr 23: Manipal Hospitals’ brand ambassador Rahul Dravid visited Kasturba Hospital on Tuesday, April 23.

During the visit, Dravid launched Fetal Medicine and Comprehensive Geriatric department at Kasturba Hospital Manipal. Dr H Sudarshan Ballal, chairman, Manipal Hospitals, C G Muthana COO ad Dr Avinash Shetty, medical superintendent were present at the event.

Dr Sudarshan Ballal, chairman, Manipal Hospitals said, “It is indeed a momentous occasion as I believe that Manipal is a temple for education and from Paediatrics to Geriatrics all types of facilities are available in Manipal and this reinforces our commitment towards offering quality healthcare along with expertise of our medical specialists.”

After inauguration, Rahul Dravid said, “Fetal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine is an advancement in medical science and it will be helpful for the public. I wish all the best for both the clinics. I am very happy to visit Manipal today, because Manipal group is known for its research activities and advancements in the field of medicine.”

Professor and HOD of Medicine Dr Manjunath Hande briefed about Comprehensive Geriatric Clinic and professor and unit head of OBG Dr Akhila Vasudeva briefed about Fetal medicine division. Chief operating officer C G Muthana welcomed the gathering and medical superintendent Dr Avinash Shetty rendered the vote of thanks.
