Karwar: DC distributes voters’ ID in deep sea through scuba diving

Karwar, Apr 22: The district administration has taken up several measures here to create awareness among voters.

The administration through district SVEEP committee drew attention by distributing voters’ ID cards deep in the sea at Netrani, Murdeshwar on Sunday, April 21 to young voters who are exercising their franchise for the first time.

Deputy Commissioner Dr Harish Kumar K and district panchayat chief executive officer M Roshan led the team and requested young voters through scuba diving to vote. The activity was held in deep sea at Netrani hill about 20 kilometers away from Murdeshwar.

District SP Vinayaka V Patil, Kumata assistant commissioner Preethi Gehlot, Dilish Sasi, Tushar Dudi and P Shresta were present.
