Mangaluru, Apr 19: On the holy occasion of Good Friday, Mother Mary Sodality of the city distributed fruits to patients of Wenlock hospital in the city on Friday, April 19.
Msgr Denis Moras Prabhu, who participated in the event as the chief guest said, "Jesus Christ died on the cross 2000 years ago in order to relieve man from sins. This day is celebrated throughout the world with devotion, fasting, prayer and alms giving. The act of Mother Mary Sodality is an exemplary one, which befits the message of the day.
Dr Julian Saldanha, resident medical officer of the hospital extended good wishes on the occasion. Vivian Sequeira, president of the Sodality welocmed the gathering. Ligory Fernandes, secretary rendered the vote of thanks. Convener of the programme Sushil Noronha compered the event.
