New Delhi: Priyanka Chaturvedi quits Congress, joins Shiv Sena

Daijiworld Media Network - New Delhi (SP)

New Delhi, Apr 19: Close on the heels of a tweet in which she criticized the Congress leadership, party's national spokesperson, Priyanka Chaturvedi, resigned from her position on Thursday April 18 night. Priyanka had expressed her frustration at the decision taken by the leaders of the party to re-admit a number of party workers who were suspended last year. She had said in her blistering attack that Congress was giving more importance to goons than sincere party workers.

Priyanka Chaturvedi on Friday  afternoon joined the Shiv Sena in the presence of party chief Uddhav Thackeray.

What made Chaturvedi angry was the fact that general secretary of the party in-charge of Uttar Pradesh, Jyotiraditya Scindia, along with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, upheld a proposal by Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee to admit the dismissed workers. She expressed her anger by stating in the latest tweet that she was saddened by the fact that those who had threatened her and were suspended by the party were allowed to get scot free without any punishment and re-admitted into the party.

This development could result in loss of face for the Congress at a time when election is in progress.

She must have been digsgruntled for not getting party ticket from Mumbai North which she had hoped for. And secondly after Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's entry into active polirics, she has realized in the begining itself that she would be a threat for her future in congress party affairs! BJP she couldn't get direct entry with money and washing her sins by becoming clean, ultimately a well made plan/setting to joun Shiv Sena! Wonderful......she will be back sooner or later because BJP and Shiv Sena are known for muscle power! As time changes....so the ideology in politics! We the common people are made fools.

AAP!!! Seriously!!! They are the cocktail of all political evils. It’s a notorious party. Anarchy rowdism nepotism anti democratic appeasements anti women party from the beginning. You may hate Bjp for your reason but now a days it’s only a Democratic Party left , party workers getting chance ,no appeasement no family bussiness and women’s getting high cabinet post.

But what reason she gave for quitting congress that " lumpens, goons etc" do not seem to hold good with the party she is joining now. Shivsena is also known for goons.

    Anyway it is her choice.

Bjp spokespersons really have a tough job, most of the time they are forced to defend the indefensible, they have to make lying their second nature, of course, with the support of anchors like Goswamy, ending up with a foot in the mouth many a time.
