UAE émigré returns Dh 123,000 mistakenly deposited into his account

Dubai, Apr 19: A Jordanian man Belal Al Houri, UAE expat of 14 years, set an example by returning Dh 123,000 deposited into his account by mistake.

Belal Al Houri received a message from his bank, saying that Dh 100,000 was deposited into his account. After a minute, he received another message saying that an additional Dh 23,000 was deposited.

Since he is a tradesman and receives transactions on a daily basis, Al Bayan thought he received the transaction from a client. When he contacted the bank, they informed him that the money was deposited by an Emirati woman who wanted to transfer the money to her husband and mistakenly sent it to Belal’s account as the account number was almost similar.

The woman and her husband thanked Al Houri for his goodness and the transactions were corrected.
