Bantwal student Shrikrishna Sharma tops PU exam with 596 marks

Bantwal, Apr 16: Alike Sri Satyasai pre-university college student Shrikrishna Sharma has scored 596 marks (99%) in Commerce and topped the state.

Son of agriculturist Subramanya Bhat and Sharada from Perdala in Badiyadka in Kasargod, Shrikrishna Sharma had completed his SSLC at Shri Bharathi Vidyapeetha in Badiyadka.

He has scored 96 in English, 100 in Sanskrit, 100 in Business studies, 100 in accounts, 100 in Statistics and 100 in Basic Mathematics.

Speaking after the result was announced, overwhelmed Shrikrishna Sharma said, "I was expecting first rank in the board exam. My parents have supported me a lot. I also thank my lecturers. My hard work has paid off. After completing B.Com, I want to be a chartered accountant. My college has provided me free hostel facility during exams,”

Shrikrishna Sharma was a dedicated student and used to travel everyday to college. He used to leave by 6.45 am and reach college by 9.15 am.

His principal Prakash Daivajna has congratulated the topper.
