Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (ANK)

Mangaluru, Apr 15: Union minister for Commerce, Industry and Civil Aviation Suresh Prabhu has expressed confidence that Narendra Modi will be re-elected as the Prime Minister of India for the second term.

Addressing media here on Monday, April 15, Suresh Prabhu said, "Entire country is geared up for Lok Sabha elections and are confident that Modi will be the Prime Minister for the second term. We are campaigning with the theme of what next for India? In the last five years our country has progressed under the leadership of Modi, who has been the driving force for the country’s development and we are going to capitalize all the gains.”

He also said, "Under the leadership of Modi there has been immense development in the field of social sector, health sectors, upliftment of youth, and welfare of women by introducing several programmes for them. During the first budget nearly Rs 8,54,000 crore were allotted for the railways and Karnataka has received lot of funds for railways in the five years, compared to last 70 years.”

Speaking on his party’s vision for India’s aviation sector, he said, "We are upgrading airports and also constructing 25-30 airports. We are planning to add 100 more airports in the next 12 years taking number of airports to 200 in the entire country and also focusing on enhancing the road connectivity.”

He further said," Modi has received highest civilian award across the globe, social harmony is the hallmark of his government. Even we have recorded high number of export, with 330 billion dollar merchandise export and 210 billion dollar service export. The agricultural export policy will be introduced for which Karnataka state will be benefitted by this scheme,” he added.

"People have decided to vote for Modi and his representative for Dakshina Kannada Nalin Kumar Kateel. Kateel has done lot of development work and brought in several funds and programmes to his constituency. We seek votes for the development works that he has done,” concluded Suresh Prabhu.

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA Vedavyas Kamath, Sanjeev Matandoor and others were present.

Union Minister Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu currently serving as the Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation under the Modi government.

Though his mixed performance Commerce & Industry and Railways in the past, he performed extremely poor Civil Aviation. His own government wanted to sell national carrier 'Air India' while the largest private airline 'Jet Airways' in the verge of collapse despite PM Modi's reformed aviation policy.

The continued poor performance by the newly launched regional airlines come amidst reports about serious financial troubles being faced by leading Indian private carrier Jet Airways, which has asked up to 12 mid-level executives (non-technical staff) to leave but has shelved a proposal on a possible salary cut for the time being.

IndiGo, which is currently the market leader with about 42% market share in terms of the total domestic passenger traffic, reported a loss in the July-September 2018 quarter, a first for the carrier ever since its shares were listed on the Indian bourses.

Other private airlines such as SpiceJet and Go Air are also said to be facing tough financial situations, mainly owing to rising aviation fuel costs and sliding rupee exchange value.

Though Mr. Suresh Prabhu brought railways back on track but failed to takeoff 'aviation' despite reforms.
I hope he would have shared his experience of IIT and Charted Accountancy to MP Nalin Kateel at least how to complete pending work of flyover on time.

    Mr Kateel Shetty,
Your analysis is really good. Rahul has no experience and so will make a poor politician. On the other hand, Modi is extremely experienced who stutters and shits in his pants to give a single press conference - a first in the world. He has used his so called brilliant experience in royally looting the country up and down sending the country into unemployment and economic disarray. Go ahead and re-elect him and you will see in your own eyes this country turning into a 100% dictatorship. Yes, Rahul cannot come any where closer to this. He is too decent for it!

To be frank, he is not confident.
Early trend was showing something different story.
Now, at the moment, it’s difficult to predict.
People understood what’s happening around them.
    Development work stalled since 2014.
For ruling government, anti incumbency factor daunt their march towards victory.
Now let’s come to the point.
Reaching magic figure, for any single party is not so easy.
King makers will play a vital role.

Upliftment of youths using JCB crane and keeping them up without jobs and food. What this fool is talking about upliftment of youth whereas millions of youths sre jobless and how many jobs they created during their tenure? Disgraceful and laughable statment of Prabhu and on the top it he is confident Modi will win. Chaiwalas and pakodas are day dreaming. Modi will never become PM again and confident about it.

The only achievement he should have told was, under BJP, it was scam free rule. Manmohan ran out of book counting the scams under his rule, while the Gandhi's cronies and Vadras ran amok. No Rafaele is as make believe as Rahul Gandhi is to Raul Vinci.
