Mangaluru, Apr 14: The district BJP on Sunday April 14 alleged that district in-charge minister U T Khader 'might have instigated' the clashes at Madani Nagar on the night of April 13.

Stones were pelted on a bus returning from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally on April 13 following an altercation in an accident at Madani Nagar in Kuthar. The matter quickly snowballed with BJP leaders staging a protest at Konaje police station claiming assault on female party workers. The police have so far arrested seven accused.

Addressing a press meet here on Sunday BJP spokesperson Sulochana Bhat said, "We witnessed a large number of saffron supporters during Modi rally on Saturday. But unfortunately there was an attack at Madani Nagar, where stones were pelted at a bus carrying BJP workers returning from Modi’s rally. The miscreants assaulted women too. It shows that the opposition is desperate."

She further said, "It has been 11 months since the Assembly elections in which 7 BJP MLAs won and not a single incident has occurred in the district during these months. But in U T Khader’s constituency there has been an attack on our workers while returning from Modi’s event.

"Even though the incident occurred in his constituency, Khader has not condemned it or ordered for any action, which shows the disappointment felt by the Congress over the success of Modi’s event," she said.

Praising the central government, Sulochana Bhat said, "Modi-led NDA government has shown concern for women by introducing several schemes for their welfare. Under the NDA government, two women - Sushma Swaraj and Nirmala Sitharaman - are holding two major posts in the union cabinet."

Corporator Roopa D Bangera, zilla panchayat president Meenakshi Shantigodu, vice-president Kasturi Panja and president of district Mahila Morcha Pooja Pai were present.

Only brain washed people think that communal riots are done by Congress....

Mangaloreans......Just think who is benefited by religious killings which happened before Assembly election in Dakshina Kannada.....

Congress lost 7 out of 8 seats.....Why Congress will do such foolish acts? Which will make Hindus go against Congress.....

Which political party is benefited by the religious killings?

Just think, give some work to your brains and then come out with a logical conclusion.....
