Moodbidri: Alva’s Drama Troupe Bags State-level Ranga Thorana Award

Moodbidri, Mar 18: The drama troupe of Alva's Education Foundation, here bagged the state level ‘Ranga Thorana’ award at the Natakotsav held at Raghavendra Kala Mandir, Bellary.  It was organized by ABVP, Bellary. 
 
Alva’s theatre artistes staged ‘Madhyama Vyayoga, Dhootavakya’ play that was directed by noted director Jeevan Ram Sullia.  It enthralled the audiences who expressed their appreciation with thundering applause. 

Raghavendra donned the role of Bheema, Padmanabha Shenoy was in the role of Dhuryodhan, Prasad Cherkady enacted the role of Krishna, Dheerendra Jain abecame Gatotkacha, Kadamba as Hidimbe, Manu as Keshavdas, Medine as Brahmin woman, Jayant Kikkeri, Divya and Vinod as the children of the Brahmin, Jaya Kumar as Kanchuki and Soumya took up the role of Sutradharini. Every one concerned contributed for the success of the play in ample measure.
 
The same play had been staged at Kolkata, Kurukshetra, Madurai, Kozhikode, Varanasi and all over Karnataka state.  The team has bagged national awards for four consecutive years in the varsity level ‘Rangotsav’ competitions.
 
Alva’s Education Foundation chairman Dr M Mohan Alva has congratulated the drama troupe for their achievement, on this occasion.
