Mangaluru, Apr 12: Santhosh J Poojary, son of senior Congress Leader Janardhana Poojary, express his support to Congress candidate Mithun Rai and requested the public cast their votes for the Mithun.

In a press meet held at here on Friday , April 12, Santosh said , “My father is one of the pioneers in Congress in the district. When he was in power he stood as the real voice of people of our district. But now due to health reasons he cannot work in Congress party and serve people like before. But he is always with the people and the Congress party. He has already blessed Mithun Rai and he is confident on Rai’s victory. Now he is looking his face and party loyalty on Mithun .

“It is baseless to say that Congress did not give ticket to Billava community or to say it neglected Janardhana Poojary. Devaraya Naik, Vinay Kumar Sorake, R L Jalappa , Janardhana Poojary, S Bangarappa, all got tickets from Congress. Now the same party has given chance to B K Hariprasad and Madhu Bangarappa,” Santosh added.

“Our district is known for educated people. But after Janardhana Poojary, we are failing to elect an educated representative. No one is speaking on behalf us in Parliament and on administrative level. I hope this time people will understand this. Because now we have a young, educated and dynamic candidate from Congress party,” he said.

“We can see the youth and Congress wave in the district. Mithun Rai is getting a massive support from all the corners of the district. Janardhana Poojary had dreamt many developmental works and new projects in the region. If we support Mithun Rai, my father’s dreams will become reality. I am supporting him without any pressure. I am sure he will win this election,” Santosh concluded.
