Shobha Karandlaje files nomination from BJP for Udupi-Chikkamagaluru

Udupi, Mar 26: Shobha Karandlaje filed her nomination for Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha constituency as BJP candidate on Tuesday, March 26.

Shobha went to the deputy commissioner’s (DC) office and filed her nomination during noon. DC Hephsiba Rani Korlapati received her nomination.

Shobha was accompanied by defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Karkala MLA Sunil Kumar and others from her party.

In addition to other candidates, Shobha’s main opponent in the election is former minister Pramod Madhwaraj contesting from JD(S).

    Shobha should check her conscience first whether she has any moral right to contest and represent people of Udupi, let her give an account of what good she did for the people of Udupi for the last five years as MP of Udupi. As an Udupi voter, what I know of her is, she only injected hatred and lighted fire wherever, whenever possible and nothing else. Also as a voter I would ask her what she did with that MP fund of Rs. 25 crore of 5 years, where she had spent that money ?

    Voters of Udupi, think twice before you vote for this lady, as she is not from our place…….

    People of udupi,you vote any other candidate but pls not this pistol lady.She is just a lame politician,she has no emotional bonding with Udupi,If madhwaraj is voted I am sure he ll be voice for Udupians in the parliament.

    Don't look at his party,any politician can make party swapping later on,its not abig deal.This is a democratic country.

    Please note this time Udupi Chickamagaluru constituency has been a cake walk to BJP because Congress is missing. I agree Shobha performance is below average but Janata Dal winning from this constituency is virtually zero. Many might not accept this. Moreover Pramod Madhwaraj is not liked by many people and many in the Congress section want Pramod to lose this election. These will all favour Shobha. Basically anyone contesting from BJP this time in this constituency will be easy.

    Many want Pramod to win but the biggest blunder was Congress not contesting this seat. I feel Congress should have contested this seat.
