Mumbai: Green signal for Bandra terminal-Mangaluru junction train from April 16

Mumbai, Mar 26: The department of railways has given the green signal for train from Bandra terminal to Mangaluru junction starting from April 16.

The weekly train number 09009/10 will run only from April 16 to June 5 as a special train. The old demand of Tulu-Kannadigas staying at western railways area is fulfilled by the train.

The train will run via Borivli, Vasai and Panvel to Mangaluru at 11.55 pm and will reach Mangaluru at 7.55 pm the next day.

It will start its return journey at 11 pm as train number 09010 and will reach Bandra terminal at 7.30 pm the next day. The train has AC-2 and 3 tier, sleeper class, second class, general coach and pantry car for food supply.

Railway Yatri Sangha Borivli Mumbai honorary president Shanker B Shetty Virar, president Shimanthoor Udaya Shetty and office bearers worked hard for the service.

They requested the passengers to note down the timings of the trains and support the service for making it profitable for the railway department so that the service may be continued.
