Sikkim CM Chamling files nomination from two seats


Namchi (Sikkim), March 25 (IANS): India's longest serving Chief Minister Pawan Chamling filed his nomination from Namchi Singithang and Poklok Kamrang assembly constituencies on Monday for the Sikkim assembly elections.

The 68-year-old Chamling, who has been helming Sikkim since December 12, 1994, filed his papers in Namchi, the headquarters of South Sikkim district.

Chamling is seeking a record sixth consecutive term for his party, Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) in the upcoming assembly elections.
