Udupi-Chikkamagaluru LS – Pramod Madhwaraj files nomination from JD(S)

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (HB)

Udupi, Mar 25: Former minister and Congress MLA Pramod Madhwaraj filed nomination as JD(S) candidate for the Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha constituency on Monday, March 25.

After JD(S) and Congress made a pre-poll pact to go together in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka, Pramod Madhwaraj was chosen as coalition candidate and is contesting under JD(S) symbol.

Before that a meeting was held at Congress Bhavan. Speaking to supporters, Madhwaraj said, “I am happy to be the candidate from JD(S). We have decided to fight communal forces. We go by the principles taught by Narayana Guru who said all religions are same. I visited Neelavara, Mahisha Mardhini, Sri Krishana , Mukyaprana and other temples, Doddanagudde mosque and Mother of Sorrows Church before coming here and prayed for the well-being of people of this constituency. I, Madhu Bangaparra and Mithun Rai together will fight for the empowerment of youth, women and farmers.

Minister K J George asked people to fight BJP party unitedly. “BJP is a communal party and it should be defeated.” he said.

District in-charge minister Jayamala said, “JD(S) and Congress are one soul. We will fight against BJP with the same spirit."

Madhu Bangarappa, JD(S) candidate from Shivamogga said, “We will fight BJP with the intention of ending communal politics. The victory is ours this time."

In 2014 general election, BJP had won 17 seats out of 28,
2 Seats are certainly reduced from Udupi & D.K. Many more in state will be lost.
Other major loss will be from UP, MP, Rajasthan, Bihar, Gujarat, Maharashtrawhere in 2014, their winning rate was 94%
This time, it would be 50 to 60%.
Other states like, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Punjab etc. their seats winning rate was 75%. This time would reduce less than 50%
Check their 2014 seats and analyse this time seats after mood gauge over failed promises.
BJP & it's ruling alliance will not cross 225 seats in 2019

BJP has destroyed institutions, relationships and social harmony by injecting the communal venom in the country just to polarize the society for selfish electoral gains. This time the enlightened and educated people of the twin district will reject the dark forces and bring bright and positive candidates to represent them in parliament for the good of all.

JDS got 14000 votes last time. BJP got more than 6 Lakh. Now with Gowda family antics i do not know how many of the 14000 who voted for JDS will change their mind.Chances of Additional votes is definitely Nil. I guess JDS will not cross 10000.

A deserving candidate who will win and complete his unfinished dreams and work left for the development of our Udupi district. He was defeated as an MLA in last elections. But a blessinga in disguise to deliver. The opponent Shoba is nowhere matching her candidature to Promod. Finally the good sense prevailed in both Udupi and Mangalore.
