Mehul Choksi can't come to India as he has heart problems, leg pain, brain clot

Mumbai, Mar 22(DC): Fugitive businessman Mehul Choksi on Friday moved a new application in the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court here, stating his long history of heart ailments and a blood clot in brain.

This comes after it was reported on Wednesday that the extradition process against embattled diamond jeweller Mehul Choksi has begun in Antigua.

The court has adjourned the matter for April 9 for arguments.

Choksi’s counsel Vijay and Ashul Agarwal submitted his detailed medical history citing his ailments constraining him from travelling and hence leading to his inability to return to India.

His counsel also placed 38 documents on record including latest prescriptions in which doctors have highly recommend that Choksi should remain under continuous medical supervision in Antigua and should avoid travelling as his medical condition may deteriorate.

Mehul Choksi and nephew Nirav Modi are kingpins of the Rs 13,000-crore Punjab National Bank fraud. They both fled from the country a year ago. Choksi was granted citizenship of Antigua and Barbuda on January 15, 2018.

All the chors, fugitive businessmen, corrupt politicians and their chelas, Babus develop heart problems and all type of critical illness, the moment arrest warrants are issued against them. When they loot they do not have any health issues. Why is it so....fail to understand. Mostly this happens i our country.???
He has looted the public money and let him pay back and then get treated for all his ailments. I don't know how their families enjoy such ill-gotten and cursed wealth.

Chowksi has health issues. Nirav Modi's extradition may take a very long time. No news about Lailt Modi. The long anticipated Vijay Mallya hasn't reached India yet. BJP is thinking people's IQ is same as Nagpur IQ???? More you try to fool people more you will be fooled. What can be expected of BJP if it tries to win elections by fooling people as they don't have any record of any successful accomplishment.
