Hassan, Mar 20: While elections are a month away, election flying squad here has confiscated prestige pressure cookers worth Rs 4.5 lac being transported without documents to attract voters and women in particular.
The cookers bought through Navkar marketing, Mysuru in Yesalur police station limits, Sakleshpur were being transported to Eka Resort, Hallibailu, Hettur hobli, Sakleshpur.
The matter has come to light in the operation conducted in the leadership of flying squad officer Adhitya H A and Yesaluru police sub inspector Umesh.
Eka Resort mentioning in the receipt that those are meant to be given away as gift has given rise to several suspicions.
Several such incidents are coming to light here just before elections. We will have to wait and see how many more will come to light till the elections conclude.
