Bantwal: Swacch Soch seminar held at Carmel College, Modankap

Bantwal, Mar 18: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Carmel College Modankap organized Swacch Soch seminar on March 13, a youth orientation programme.

A team from Ramakrishna Mission Mangaluru was the resource persons. Gopinath Rao, an ex-serviceman from India Army explained the various phases of the Swacch Bharath Abhiyan.

Sathish Sadanand placed before the audience the role of students in maintaining Swacchata and contributing towards nation building.



Ranjan Bellarpady, chief coordinator of Mangaluru Ramakrishna Mission Swacch Manas, Swacch Soch and Youth Programmes enlightened the students with video clippings of various programmes organized and demonstrated the segregation and preparation of compost waste from the houses.

At the end of the seminar feedback was taken from the students in a printed format and an Oath was administered by the principal Prof Sr M. Supriya. In her presidential remarks she made it clear that purity of one’s mind, heart and life is important in bringing about a change in the society for blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.

Florin Menezes, the IQAC coordinator coordinated the programme. All the staff members were present.
