Mysuru, Mar 17: “For BJP, there is nothing else except Modi. For them the face of Modi is the main asset. What charisma people like Yeddyurappa, Eshwarappa and Jagadish Shettar have?” questioned former CM Siddaramaiah.

Speaking to the press he said, “BJPians are chanting ‘Modi Modi’. What development he has done? He promised 10 crore jobs and cheated. Modi also did not have any charisma earlier. Now he has developed his charisma by repeatedly talking about the surgical strike.

“During the period of Congress also 10 to 12 surgical strikes have been done. But we have not told this to the public. Leaders of BJP do not have any asset. So they use the name of others for the election campaign. For them, the face of Modi is the only asses to get support from the people. But in Congress the situation is not like that. Our state leaders also carry their individual charisma and so is our national leader Rahul Gandhi.

“Where is Modi wave? What Modi has done for Karnataka? What is the relationship between Modi and our state? BJP leaders have said that they will change the constitution itself. Will the constitution be safe in their hands? Our constitution says that everyone should get justice and everyone should get opportunity. But BJPians are against this. How BJP will get support without working towards the upliftment of farmers, youths, women and backward classes?”
