Bengaluru: S M Krishna and Kalladka Bhat meet BSY, pledge support

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Mar 17: State BJP president B S Yeddyurappa met former CM S M Krishna at his residence in the city and appealed him to involve actively in the campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. S M Krishna reciprocated to the request of Yeddyurappa and assured him of his fullest cooperation and support and also said that he will actively involve in the election campaign for BJP.

Yeddyurappa, who met S M Krishna, at his residence in Sadashivanagar discussed for some time, the political scenario of Mandya district, preparations for the Lok Sabha elections and campaign.

B S Yeddyurappa, S M Krishna and Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat

Speaking to the scribes after the meeting, Yeddyurappa said, "I have had discussion with senior leader S M Krishna about the present political scenario and the election of candidates. He has agreed to accompany us for the campaigning in seven to eight districts of south Karnataka including Mandya, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan and Shivamogga. I feel greatly strengthened by this gesture of S M Krishna. In addition to the Modi wave that is there in the country, if Krishna involves in campaigning the results will be very different.

"We have discussed about the political scenario in the district of Mandya. Krishna has also given his suggestions. Discussion is also held with regards to the contest of Sumalatha Ambareesh. Once Sumalatha announces her stand, all the senior leaders of BJP will discuss and declare our decision."

"The defeat of AICC president Rahul Gandhi is definite from wherever he contests. Let the Congress confirm his contest from Karnataka, then we will think of our candidate against him. The Modi wave is making rounds all through the country. Whoever contests against BJP will get defeated. We will get 22 seats in Karnataka. I will be delighted if S M Krishna contests in the elections," said Yeddyurappa.

Speaking to the scribes, former CM, S M Krishna, said, "As a general faithful worker of BJP I have decided to offer my fullest support to Yeddyurappa. I will give my best possible cooperation to achieve his dream of winning 22 seats in the state. Wherever my requirement is there, I will visit those constituencies and campaign for the party. The people are going to decide about the family politics. It is up to Yeddyurappa to decide whether I should contest against Rahul Gandhi or not, if at all, Rahul decided to contest from the state.

RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat also met Yeddyurappa on Saturday, March 17 and had discussion about the political and non-political issues including the Dakshina Kannada constituency.

BSY should have gone through proper channel. Just a call to V. G. Siddhartha would have made his job easy, instead of going all the way to S. M. K. s house and begging his support. Just like a call from I. T. dept. made S. M. K to switch his party... "a lot can happen over a cup of coffee and a buzz from IT dept".

Al d best to BSY. If there is Modi wave then u don't need anyone else na sir. Dream of 22 seats, what abt the other 6? No Modi wave I think. Waves r all gone, only employment, farm distress, higher educational funding, communalism and Rafale r d issues this election. Let's talk about it 👍

Sure signs of nervousness on the part of the BJP in view of their impending defeat in the general elections.

Forget a Modi wave there is not even a Modi ripple this time around as people are well experienced with his Jhumla politics and indulging in lies and falsehoods.

SM Krishna should contest this through BJP against Rahul Gandhi if Rahul contests from Karnataka. Rahul will defeat for sure. Kaladka Bhat is the right person for Dakshina Kannada Constituency from BJP.
