Mangaluru: Demand for Company Secretaries will increase drastically - CS Chethan Nayak

Mangaluru, Mar 16: Mangalore Chapter of Institute of Company Secretaries of India organised a one day workshop on capital market, FEMA, GST and result orientation on March 16 at Ocean Pearl, Mangaluru. More than 100 participated in the workshop. CS Chethan Nayak, chairman of the Mangalore Chapter of Institute of Company Secretaries of India briefed about requirement of updation and also explained about the opportunities available for Company Secretaries.

“The recent ordinance passed by the central government has increased the demand for qualified Company Secretaries across the country. Now to continue as an active company, a firm which has paid a capital of more than Rupees 5 crore should have a full time Company Secretary. It is expected that as of now such companies are more when compared to the availability of qualified Company Secretaries. Shortly the demand for qualified Company Secretaries will increase drastically. It is also expected that such increase in demand will continue for the next 4-5 years,” he said.



The students who have completed second PUC and graduation can join Company Secretary course to grab this opportunity within the next 2-3 years. The qualified Company Secretaries not only have demand in employment but there is also a huge demand for practicing as independent professionals providing services in corporate matters, GST, Customs, FEMA.

Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Mangalore Chapter, is a premier institute of Company Secretaries having more than 48 members and 1500 students. The Mangalore Chapter is conducting various programmes for company secretary professionals and students. It is the only Chapter, where full time coaching is being conducted for the students. For the year 2019-2020, the Mangalore Chapter is planning to conduct many batches throughout the day, providing coaching for all level of exams.

The coaching at Mangalore Chapter, ICSI will facilitate guest speakers from top professional community from Mangaluru and Bengaluru which is an advantage for the students joining for the coaching at Mangalore Chapter of ICSI.

Chairman CS Chethan Nayak, Vice Chairman Prasanna Patil, Managing Committee Member Sonali Pai were present in the meeting.

    Dear students make use of these workshops and gain knowledge provided by the professionals. Try to attend as much as workshops as these are not conducted on regular basis.
