EC officials demonstrate use of EVM and VVPAT at mass marriage function

Koppal, Mar 14: As the polling dates for the Lok Sabha elections are fast approaching, Election Commission (EC) has also given drive to the work of creating awareness about the importance and method of voting to the voters.

In the mass marriage programme that was being held at Hatti village of the district, the officials of the EC arrived and demonstrated the use of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) in front of hundreds of people gathered at the function.

In addition, the officials also spoke on the importance of voting and appealed to the gathered public to vote without fail in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The officials also said that Lok Sabha elections are going to be held in the months of April and May and the EC is busy in preparing the voters’ list. Those who want to register their names to the voters’ list newly may do so.
