Mangaluru city bus pays unique respect to brave pilot Abhinandan

Mangaluru, Mar 13: A private bus in the city has paid its respects to Indian defense forces and India’s brave pilot wing commander Abhinandan Varthaman by drawing a picture of the pilot on the bus.

When Abhinandan shot down Pakistan’s F-16 war plane, his Mig 21 fighter plane was damaged. But he landed safely with the help of parachute and fell in Pakistan occupied Kashmir. He was arrested in Pakistan. The country had to bow down to diplomatic pressure and had to release Abhinandan subsequently.

Pakistan had inflicted mental and physical agony on Abhinandan to know India’s defence secrets during his arrest. He bore the torture but gave away none of the secrets.

The entire country presents its respects to Abhinandan in different ways. The bus has offered its respects by writing ‘We salute Indian army’ on it along with the picture of Abhinandan.

    Pilot was not released because of diplomatic pressure but because,
    1. No Pak PM survived as PM after war with India.
    2. Pak is economically on its knees and could not have afforded a war with India.
    3. Both countries were playing to the galleries.
    4. All diplomatic pressures were on both countries to de-escalate.
    5. If Trump would have had a breakthrough on the North Korea summit, we don't know what outcome would we have in South Asia. Clearly China was not in favor of escalation.

    Noble gesture, should be appreciated, but with Abhinandan Varthamans picture featured, it should have mentioned the Indian Air Force. After all That is the service to which he belongs.

    In the Middle East War, Israel's F-16 had shot down 44 Russian made Mig-21 of Syria. But Syria couldn't bring down even 1 F-16. It's indeed a world record and an exemplary feat that India's Abhinandan shot down US made F-16 by flying on Mig-21.

    Why there is no media or public appearance of Abhinandan.
    Is there any instruction given to him ?

    Why only Abhinandan photo displayed on the city bus. Why not other 5 pilots pilots photo, who have bombed terrorist base in Pakistan and returned safely. Who should be more honoured. The one who was caught and released OR the pilot who have attacked the enemy target and returned safely.

    The country had to bow down to diplomatic pressure and had to release Abhinandan subsequently.-- I think media is the one who spread hatred towards each other same like Hindu Muslims how they spread

    Pakistan gave away abhinandan on peace gesture and it was admitted and now Indian media is spreading hatred

    It is not a peace gesture. Can any one believe Pakistan and peace gesture? Only strong military and diplomatic pressure worked on ground. That is the language which Pakistan understands. Nothing else.

    There are so many brave soldiers. What about them?
    Abinandhan was caught and released where as there were other pilots who accomplished the mission but ignored by the public and the nationalists.
    Simply ullu banawing during elections.

    I fully agree with your comments. Indian pilot Abinandhan was caught on Pakistan territory and later released by Pakistan authorities, reasons well known to them. There were other Indian soldiers who took part in this war but they are forgotten. This is like a one-man's show.

    Thats why the. Israelis. Built Hunter killer drones. since. each pilot was. so precious and the secrets oof the nation was equally important..
    how. ever.Drones can do better job in pin point accurate. Damage. as. needed with NO Loss of Life.
    let us Mass produce all On board recent cutting edge high technology war machines.

    Now don't pass that credit also to pakistan. They just had no option but to return him immediately. Both unprecedented diplomatic and military pressure seems to have worked well. But whatever mental torcher they can give him, they have given to the max.
