Mangaluru: Gas tanker leakage at Talapady, traffic on highway diverted

Mangaluru, Mar 12: All vehicular traffic along highway near Talapady has been stopped after a reported gas tanker leakage near the petrol pump along this stretch of the highway on Tuesday, March 12.

According to sources, people travelling towards Mangaluru have been advised to take road from Thuminadu. Those going towards Kasargod, have been asked to take diversion from Devinagar.

Sources have also informed about possible chances of explosion and hence people living within two kilometers of the spot, have been alerted.

It is unclear how long it might take for the vehicular traffic to normalise along this route.
