Bengaluru: Truck driver lynched by locals for killing 6-year-old in accident

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Mar 12: A truck driver, who was the cause for the death of a six-year-old child in a road accident, was lynched by the locals. This bizarre incident is reported from Kammasandra near Hebbagodi of Anekal taluk of the district.

Ahan Khan (6), died when the truck driven by Radheshyam (26) ran over him. Ahan Khan was walking on the road along with his aunt at Kammasandra when the cement mixer truck driver by Radheshyam hit the boy, killing him instantly. Aunt escaped with minor injuries. The angry locals beat the driver black and blue. Though he was admitted to a local private hospital later, he succumbed to the injuries caused by the repeated beating and kicking of the local people.

The family of the boy, originally from Hubballi, was living in the city since some years. Police have arrested three people in this connection.

A case in this connection stands registered at Hebbagodi police station.

Accidents are bound to happen but lynching is not prevention or treatment. This is all senseless violence.no wonder in India people run after accident. One must follow rules , be it driver or pedestrian. Also in case on any eventuality things got to be dealt with properly.
But one must thank BJP for promoting lynching culture..

    RIP Ahan
If it is reckless driving and driver's fault then some how lynching is applicable to him and lesson for other reckless drivers, because driver deserves same punishment.

Accident is sad. But Drivers job is risky. There may be reckless drivers and careless pedestrians.
But lynching and killing is even more unfortunate.

No comments from so called sickulars and chaddiless gang of DW who used to blame Govt for lynching. Here just because the victim is from Hindu nobody talks about lynching. If it was other way round by this time comments would have crossed 100 accusing BD /SENA /MODI. Why no comments about law and order postion of the State?

Rathan mangalore, does it matter if a victim is a hindu or sikh when dies?He is a opfer as for me.....you are always the first one to notice everytime what is and who is.I find how come victims (BOY)aunt is only slightly injured and truck ran over the small boy?Means boy was on the road and aunt was on the side.Aunt should have taken care that boy should walk on her left side.not on road.we dont have enough pathways and people too dont follow rules walk as they want.some drivers too are only racing.heartfelt sympathy to the family.same time there wasnt any need to lynch the driver, could catch him and give to police was best.Pity driver died.Heartfelt sympathy to his family too .may their soul rest in peace.

I remember when I was staying in Bombay, more than 30 years back, any accidents, the locals used to beat the driver and that is why, in Bombay there used to be less careless accidents by the drivers. When all respect, abide by the rules, all is good. Otherwise, the aggrieved party may take law in their hands.

Since the Driver was Hindu and the boy was Muslim.
We all know who lynched whom.

Its the same reason(lynching) that after the accident the drivers flee the spot leaving the vehicle behind.

An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth may be thought in Islam but not thought under Indian Constitution.

Where are the lynching victims sympathizers now...?

If a muslim is lynched its sad but if a hindu is lynched by muslim why no sadness???

Wake up Indian's before the muslims take over us.

People talking about the law are just the keyboard warriors like PUBG soldiers.
    In short good for nothing!!

In India by the time one gets justice (In rare case where bribery isn't involved) it will be too late.
When its matter of justice "Better late than never" doesn't work.

I somewhere feel out system is responsible for these kind of incidents. Had the law been strict people would have been like kids of very well cultured family.

Sad news. It's wrong to take law in to our own hand.
Having said that, the law should be made stronger and fatality due to reckless driving / over speeding should be treated in par with murder as they are in some countries.

Indian LAW is not up to the mark to teach a lesson to majority uncultured people.
At times Indians should become outlaw if you want instant justice.

not sure if I can generalize it. many a times kids also, unless given right attention , will some mischief stuffs and it could an accident . But unless we know the truth , can not conclude anything here. but just thrashing the driver for the sake... unless it was his reckless driving which caused the accident... not sure how right. That's why usually drivers escape from the spot and surrender at near by police station. Here, looks caught by local goons and for thrashed. any ways... RIP for , the kid ( any ways it's not his fault ) and the driver ( if it was an accident due to kid's move and not because of the driver's reckless driving )

    Nothing wrong.
There are 100's of idiots in mangalore who use unnecessary high beam headlights which causes accident due to temporary blindness.
And our useless RTO is acting blind as always.

RTO should also seize the vehicles which emit too much smoke?

Agree with you 100% . Our RTO is only fit to issue licenses and they aren't fit for educating the drivers how to drive, which lane to drive, how not to drive. High beam, riding in the middle of the road, buses stopping wherever they want, there are plenty of reasons why so many accidents happen.

    But our RTO is useless

There is no use handover the truck driver to police & he will come out within a day.
This will teach others to drive carefully.

This law should apply to rapist also.
