Moodbidri: Dr Vishnu of Alva’s bags 2 gold medals and cash prize

Moodbidri, Feb 22: Dr Vishnu, student of Alva's Ayurvedic Medical College, Moodabidre will take home top honors of receiving two gold medals and one cash prize in Bachelor of Ayurveda and Medical Science degree, at the 21st annual convocation of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences(RGUHS), which will be held on March 26.

Highest marks in aggregate in BAMS course for a male student offered him a gold medal, whereas a final year BAMS student of the University passing out in first attempt & completing the course in minimum possible duration & securing highest marks in final year BAMS earned him another reward. Along with this, cash prize is awarded for highest marks in Bhisajya Kalpana subject of BAMS.

Dr Vishnu presently pursuing post-graduation degree in Shalya tantra (Ayurvedic Surgical Branch) at Alva's Ayurvedic Medical College. The son of, Rajendran and Bindu, officers at Central Public Works Department, expressing his felicity said, “The credit of this achievement is dedicated to all his teachers and would like to gift this accomplishment to his father. He also expressed special thanks to Alva’s Education Foundation chairman Dr M Mohan Alva for his unconditional support and motivation throughout the year.”

Alva’s Education Foundation chairman Dr M Mohan Alva, Alva's Ayurvedic Medical College Principal, Dr Zenica D’Souza, AEF Trustee Vivek Alva congratulated the student.
