Police on hunt for biker, who flashed, attacked techie lady

Bengaluru, Feb 22: In an ugly incident that occurred on the HAL road in the city on the afternoon of Tuesday, February 19 a man flashed his private parts at the woman, in addition to assaulting her over a road rage. The police are on the lookout for this man.

The police have got the details of the offender through the bike registration number and they are on the hunt to arrest the culprit. An FIR is registered against the accused under IPC section 509 for word, gesture or act intended to outrage the modesty of a woman and IPC section 323 for assault.

As per the information available through the police, the bizarre incident is said to have taken place around 12.40 pm on Tuesday at the busy HAL Museum junction. The 28-year-old, woman techie was going to her office on her scooter. A stranger followed her and blocked her vehicle. Then the stranger started to abuse her for rash and negligent riding. In response, the woman also retaliated and a heated verbal duel ensued between them. The man in a fit of rage flashed his private parts at the woman. The shocked lady took out her mobile phone in order to record the offending gesture of the man. At this the man got furious and assaulted her and banged her mobile phone on the road. Then the man in question is said to have scratched her face by inserting his hand inside her helmet. The the stranger is said to have escaped from the spot.

The lady who was shaken by the sudden and unexpected occurrence, reported the same to the HAL police station and duly filed a complaint. A senior police officer of the station said that they have the registration number of the bike which belongs to the offender and efforts are on to trace him.
