Husband stabs wife for asking to give up smoking in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Feb 22: A man in Banasawadi stabbed his wife after she reportedly asked him to give up smoking.

Gayatri, the victim of stab injuries, always desired that her husband should be of good character, but her husband turned out to be just the opposite of what she wanted.

Dharma, Gayatri’s husband has no job. He had been drinking alcohol every day, smoking and physically assualting Gayatri. But Gayatri used to work in a garments shop and look after her husband with love.

Dharma was suffering from cancer due to his bad habits. Gayatri used to advise him to lead life, giving up drinking and smoking.

It is gathered that Dharma was smoking in front of the house in the evening on February 18. Gayatri scolded him, pulled the cigarette pack from the hands of Dharma and threw it away. But Dharma who got wild, stabbed on the right eye of his wife. Gayatri who is seriously injured is getting treated in a private hospital.

    Poor woman,had to work and finance his all drinking and smoking,with all his health issue.Now he injured her,can now freely drink and smoke as he wants.Only question is how he will finance it?why does these men marry who doesnt understand the meaning of a family?He should be punished taken into custody .Atleast he will understand what his wife was doing to him.

    Now its everyday...!!!!
    I think triple talaq is actually more useful to them.. at least woman will use it to same themselves from this alcoholic goons.
    The faith which introduced it or the followers weren't practising it in large scale, hence it wasn't a big deal when govt passed bill against it. Only few politicians tried to politicise it.
    At least some woman will be saved if govt include it in HINDU MARRIAGE ACT.
