Kasargod, Feb 20: The murder accused of Youth Congress activists Kripesh and Sharathlal were taken to the crime scene by the police on Wednesday afternoon, to gather more details.

The investigating team found four iron rods and a machete used for the murder dumped in an empty well between rubber plantations, a little away from the murder spot. The special investigating team had taken accused Pitambaran to Periya Kalyot. The accused had thrown the weapons in the well before fleeing.

Local people wanted to assault the accused. Therefore, the police took the accused to the spot of the murders and then to the well where the deadly weapons were thrown.

The accused has been produced in Hosadurga court in the evening and remanded to seven days police custody. The court has ordered the investigating team to produce the accused again on February 27 as 5 pm.

More evidences have to be collected and several other accused are yet to be arrested. Therefore, the investigating team has reques
