'We will kill you, if you speak against Muslims', Anant Kumar Hegde gets threat calls

Sirsi, Feb 18: Central minister Anant Kumar Hegde has once again received life threatening call. An anonymous caller has called on the landline of his residence from 0022330000 number on the midnight of Friday, February 15.

Suresh Shetty, personal secretary of Anant Kumar has registered a complaint in this regard with the Market police station in the town on the late night of Sunday, February 17.

Anant Kumar was not at home when the threatening call was made. His wife Roopa Hegde received the call. The caller is alleged to have said, "You must do your work and keep quiet. If you speak about Muslims, we will not let you and your family to live. We will kill. Do you want Ayodhya? We will not leave it. We will take your life."

When the caller started using profanity, Roopa Hegde cut his call. The complaint filed by personal secreatry Suresh Shetty mentions that many calls have come from the same number after the initial call on Friday midnight.

    Why we need to take names and receive wrath upon helpless families? There are good and bad people in all communities. In fact, whatever lynching, killing so far happened is as a result of some loose tongues by few Leaders.
    People on their top must put some efforts to correct these few elements working on their behalf. This can improve our internal trust/security and of course may help in building a strong information base to face any external threats. Let us be with those families who have lost their dear ones, rather engaging in irresponsible loose tongues and risk our own people.

    BJP elevates only those people who make abusive statements. Example Yogi, Anant Kumar .....
    Hence more and more leaders try to follow them in order to grab the ministerial berth.
    Their only merit is to divide and create fear in majority, so that they will vote BJP assuming this party will save them.
    While construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya is a political, historical and socio-religious debate in the country, there are over 180 ancient temples in Ayodhya which are neglected, crumbly and their lands have been encroached upon and no one appears to be bothered about their condition. Many of them are several hundred years old.

    Ayodhya Municipal Corporation has released a list of 182 crumbly temples. Corporation chairman Rishikesh Upadhyaya said notices have been issued to such temples as they are unsafe. He said the temple owners have been told to raze these temples failing which the civic body will pull them down. Condition of many historical, ancient temples is very bad.

    Harish Hegde, 5 lakh kashmiri pundits were displaced, more than 50000 killed. This was not in Mughal era, but in independent India, that too in only one out of 28 states, where they were in minority. All happened just few hundred kilometers from our capital city, Delhi. This is what will happen everywhere, where others are in minority....it happened in Pakistan, in 1947 2.5 cr hindus were there in pak, now only 50 lakh...what happened there? People like you will never feel the heat till your house is under fire.
