Kasargod: Attempt to sexually harass ten-year-old - septuagenarian held

Kasargod, Feb 17: Police personnel of Adoor station in the district have arrested a 70-year-old man. He has been accused of trying to sexually assault a ten-year-old inside a car.

The arrested man has been identified as Sheikh Abdul Karim from Mulleriya. He has been booked for offences under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

The accused is a car broker. He is said to have asked the girl to get into his parked car when she was walking to her school. He stopped the car near the school and tried to use the girl sexually. Some locals who observed his advances, informed the police who came there and arrested the man.
