Mangaluru: Lorry knocks down, kills motor bike rider from behind

Mangaluru, Feb 17: A motor bike rider lost his life after a lorry hit him from behind near Sahyadri College at Adyar near here on Friday.

The victim has been identified as Chandra Poojary. He was riding his motor bike towards the city from the direction of B C Road when a lorry which was following him hit his vehicle Sahyadri College. Poojary who fell to the road, suffered serious injuries. The locals immediately took him to hospital where the doctors who examined him declared him brought dead.

On the basis of a complaint filed by the brother of the deceased, a case was registered in the city (south) traffic police station here relating to this accident.
