Bengaluru: Dissident Congress MLAs meet Siddaramaiah

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Feb 15: Dissenting Congress MLAs B Nagendra and Ramesh Jarkiholi met CLP leader Siddaramaiah at his residence here on Friday.

Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan was also present during the meeting.

Even after four dissenting Congress MLAs returned, they held party leaders responsible for their absence.

Former chief minister Siddaramaiah and Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara had met Karnataka Speaker Ramesh Kumar on Monday, requesting for disqualification of four dissenting MLAs from the state Assembly after they did not attend the ongoing state budget session and CLP meet ahead of the budget.

The four Congress MLAs - Ramesh Jarkiholi, Umesh Jadhav, Mahesh Kumthalli and NB Nagendra – did not attend the budget session and the CLP meeting despite a party whip.

It is not known when the other two MLAs will meet the Congress leaders.
