Kundapur, Feb 14: In an incident that has come to light bit late, the seven-month-old girl child of a family who had come to work as daily wage labourers was suspected to be kidnapped from the tent in which the family were taking rest in the night. The hapless parents are devastated as they are not able to trace the baby.

The couple Johnny Monteiro and Asha, natives of Mangaluru, are residing in a tent since three years at Kageri near Koteshwar of the taluk. Johnny used to work as a daily wage labourer in nearby areas. The couple have two children. The child which has gone missing is the second one by the name Minisha.

It is said that the baby had the issue of low weight during birth itself. The doctors of the locality advised the couple to take the child to Mangaluru for higher treatment. Accordingly, the family had been to Vamanjoor in Mangaluru and got the child treated in the hospital and returned to Kageri. However, on the late night of Friday, February 8 at around 1.30 am, the couple came to know that the child is missing when they suddenly woke up from sleep. This has led to several suspicions.

Police have refused to register a case in this regard as the couple does not have the photograph of the missing baby. They have been advised to go to the court with their plea. The financially poor family is distraught as they are unable to approach the court due to their financial condition on one end and the police is refusing to register the case as they do not have the photograph of the missing baby.

Our Police are sometimes can be very rude. Many times it happened to register cases where women go and complain about rapes or assault, they refuse and send to someother police station. Now these parents should file a case against th e police for not registering.Best take one either politician or heead of some organization .why they need a babys foto when there isnt?simply register it.mother can recognize her child when found.one can search isnt it?How many times people abduct babys either to their satanic works or to conduct sexual assault. Please Police dont bring bad name to country.I am sure many of you too have children.Think it is too one of yours.Put in daily journal.search where people sudddenly have a child without pregnency time.God will bless you.Hope the child will be found soon.

Without religious bias I feel the police should acted immediately without wasting a single minute to find the child. I feel so sad what police did and also feel the pain as a parent of losing and missing the baby. Only the parent will understand the pain of such incident. Hope the local people can look for this baby surrounding areas or put a amber alert of missing child with a brief details of the baby. India is still working like 50 years backward even though India has all resources. Is it just bcze this family is poor and unable to have a photo of the child care was not registered and police are not trying to look for a missing child. So bad and unprofessional attitude shown by civil servant
