Mangaluru: 'Real Super Hero' - unique Valentine’s Day celebrated by honouring cops

Mangaluru, Feb 14: ACP Mangaluru central division Bhaskar V B flagged off a rally at Jyothi in connection with 'Real Super Hero', a unique celebration of Valentine’s Day by honouring Mangaluru cops, organised by Lee Entertainments and Arena Animation in association with Daijiworld.

Students took out a rally from Jyothi via Bunts Hostel and PVS concluding at police commissioner’s office. They gave away roses to the cops deployed at traffic signals of Jyothi, Bunts Hostel, PVS, Balmatta, and honoured them.

Addressing the gathering, DCP Law and Order Hanumantharaya said, "It is a unique concept of honouring cops on Valentine's Day and recognising them for their service. I wish the best to all students and participants who took part in this event.”

Over the years, Mangaluru cops have worked hard on all occasions especially Valentine’s Day ensuring people are safe and their celebrations are not affected by miscreants. Hence, Mangalureans have decided to dedicate and celebrate the same with ‘Real Super Hero’, the police force of the city.

The unique event by Lee Entertainments, Arena Animation in association with Daijiworld was aimed to celebrate those who have chosen to serve the community as cops, who work all day and night so that citizens can live peacefully. The cops who stick on to the streets ensure that citizens reach their destination on time with safety on their back.

Every day, in every city and town across the country, police officers are performing vital services that help make their communities safer. So now the campaign aims to gather citizens who can dedicate some precious time from their daily schedule to honour them with pride.

Prajwal Shetty, centre manager, Arena Animation and Sanjay Patil, director, Lee Entertainments, was also present.
