Bengaluru: Sumalatha says Congress, Mandya, will be her choice in political field

Bengaluru, Feb 11: "If ever I enter politics, it will be only through Congress party. There is no truth in the rumours about my joining BJP," clarified Sumalatha, wife of Ambareesh.

She was speaking to media persons at Adichunchanagiri in Nelamangala taluk after paying obeisance to Lord Kalabhyraveshwara Swami and seeking the blessings from Dr Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji on Sunday, February 10 night.

"If I begin my political innings, it will be only from Mandya, which had been the place where Ambareesh worked. I did not have any interest in politics. Fans of Ambareesh have been urging me to enter politics, and promising to back me to the hilt.

I and my son, Abhishek, want to maintain the love, relationship and affection people of Mandya had maintained with Ambareesh, and take a decision soon," she explained.

Abhishek said he will support whatever decision his mother will take in this respect.
