Mangaluru: St Agnes College signs MOU with Tata Consultancy Services

Mangaluru, Jan 21: St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, affiliated to Mangalore University, re-accredited with A+ grade 2017 with 3.65/4 CGPA by NAAC, has partnered with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading IT services, consulting and business solutions firm.

A new programme specialized in ‘Business Process Services’ was launched to meet the growing demands of student community to get into the mainstream careers. This is an industry integrated programme for B.Com, BBA, BCA and BA.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru and Tata Consultancy Services on December 18.

The College felt the need to have a curriculum which is industry oriented and equips the students with relevant skills to manage the business process which will meet the ever-changing demands of industry apart from the fundamental education. Therefore, to overcome the industry talent challenges, the college has established an alliance with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for an Academic Interface Programme (AIP) based on a unique framework for industry academia interaction.

This industry integrated programme uses a blended approach with exposure to core subjects, industry practices and domain knowledge. Students undergoing this programme will develop requisite conceptual and application skills for IT industry. After the completion of this programme, students will have ample employment opportunities in the IT industry in managing business process services involved in sectors such as; banking, financial services, insurance, tourism, health care, etc.

    Good move and initiative from the management . Today we need such training which can enhance the student's talent's and knowledge and make them productive on day one of their Carrier. This kind d of MOU will help students to find better opportunity in the market and their demand and skills will enhance so that they will be performing better compared to others.
