Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Jan 20: In a daring act, a young lady, who got enraged against a person who tried to rape her, thwarted his attempt by striking his head with a hammer and made him to run for his life.

The miscreant entered the house of the said young lady by breaking the lock of the door in the night and threatened her that he will shoot her if she does not cooperate for the sexual act. Showing exemplary presence of mind and courage, the lone young lady hammered his head. The pervert who got shocked by the blow, bled from his head and jumped from the second floor of the building and made good his escape.

This incident occurred on the wee hours of Friday, January 18 under the limits of HAL police station. Police have registered the case as per the complaint filed by the young lady and are hunting for the accused.

The young girl in question, a native of Chattisgarh, employed in a private comapny, is living alone since two years on the second floor of a house near Om Shakti Nivas. On the early morning of January 18, at 4.30 am the stranger entered the house by breaking the lock of the house from outside and touched the body of the lady who was sleeping on the bed and tried to rape her.

The girl who got awakened by the touch of the miscreant, started screaming. The miscreant threatened the lady that he has a gun and he will shoot here down and slapped her on the cheek. The young lady who escaped his clutches struck the head of the rapist thrice with the hammer that she had kept near the sofa. The man was taken aback by the sudden attack of the lady and on asking his name had told that his name is Arun.

The family that lives in the ground floor were fast asleep when this incident took place. Also the neighbours of the young lady had gone to their native place. It is suspected that someone who knew this information might have tried to take the advantage of the situation.

Time has come for women/girls to become chandi or Rani of Jhansi to destroy evil in any form'
Unless girls respond bravely they will be victimized.

When evil strikes women then its time for them to become stronger/bolder and hit back without any mercy.

What's the use ? One side they nab other door they take lancha and leave and give chances to rape more and more. The punishment what our brave girl has given really admirable.
Charan, keep your advice for yourself.

The government should trace the rapist and arrest him. Meanwhile government also should reward the girl so that it will encourage other girls to act in the same way.
    Well done girl.

Very good. The brave lady thwarted his attempt by striking his head with a hammer and made him to run for his life. My question is that usually people who jump from first floor are carried to hospital and this rapist jumped from the second floor that too after receiving a hammer blow and fled from site. Is it a movie scene? Becoming suspicious about the hammer and the floor height.

Why are you rooting for the rapist's welfare? Any history? He might have crawled away with broken legs.
I would expect my daughter to act in the same way as this lady.
