Congress MLAs, MPs head to Eagleton Resort to escape BJP’s onslaught

Bengaluru, Jan 18: As per latest reports about 4 Congress MLAs have skipped the ongoing CLP meeting. It is learnt that more than 76 Congress MLAs arrived for the crucial meet.

Out of 80 MLAs, four - Nagendra B, Ramesh Jarakiholi, Umesh Jadhav and Mahesh Kumtalli did not turn up.

Meanwhile, missing MLA Umesh Jadhav in a letter to CLP leader Siddaramaiah said, "I am unable to attend the said meeting since I am unwell and not able to travel. My absence may be excused."

Siddaramaiah after the meeting said, "76 MLAs were present physically out of the 79. I will send notice to absentees and seek an explanation. Then I will speak to the high command." 

Siddaramaiah further said that Congress will shift its legislators to a resort to escape the BJP’s onslaught.

Bengaluru: More than 20 Congress MLAs skip CLP meeting

As per sources, 20 Congress MLAs have skipped the CLP meeting being held here on Friday, January 18.

As per latest news, more than 55 Congress MLAs have arrived for the meeting. 

The attendees of the meeting are CLP leader Siddaramaiah, deputy chief minister G Parameshwara, Chikkaballapur MLA Sudhakar, revenue minister R V Deshpande, M Y Patil, PT Parameshwar Naik, Rahim Khan, Anand Nyamagouda, Huligeri, BK Sangamesh, Anjali Nimbalkar, disgruntled MLA Bheema Naik, health minister Shivanand Patil, forest minister Satish Jarkiholi, Kaneesa Fatima, Muniratna, Byrathi Basavaraj, former minister Roshan Baig, disgruntled MLA Prathapgouda Patil, agriculture minister N H Shivashankara Reddy, Yathindra, Raghavendra Hitnal, Sowmya Reddy, Venkataramanappa, Narayanaswamy, former ministers M Krishnappa, Shamanur Shivashankarappa, disgruntled MLA Shivaram Hebbar, Anil Chikmadu, Abbayya Prasad, Shrimanth Patil, B C Patil, disgruntled MLA JN Ganesh, and Rajegowda.

Other MLAs MLA Roopa Shashidhar, Byrathi Suresh, Akhanda Srinivas Murthy, Malur MLA Nanjegowda, ministers Zameer Ahmed Khan, KJ George, NA Haris, Tanveer Sait, Vijayanagar MLA Anand Singh, Hanur MLA Narendra, BDA chairperson, Yeshwanthpur MLA ST Somashekhar, former minister Ramalinga Reddy, and Urban Development minister UT Khader too attended the meeting.

It is said that BJP chief B S Yeddyurappa is monitoring the situation from his residence at Dollars Colony in city.

    These greedy, power hungry missing MLA's Nagendra B, Ramesh Jarakiholi, Umesh Jadhav and Mahesh Kumtalli where elected to serve the people. Instead they are jumping from party to party for money and power and playing hide and seek and wasting poor tax payers money. It's time the tax payers teach these greedy, good for nothing party hoping MLA's a lesson by not voting for these MLA's ever.
