Bengaluru: I became CM twice, but unfortunately of coalition governments - Kumaraswamy

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jan 18: Karnataka chief minister, H D Kumaraswamy, lamented the fact that both the times he became chief minister (CM), he had to contend with bad luck as he was forced to lead coalition governments. He expressed helplessness at meeting the aspirations of the people through programmes conceived by him, as he feels his hands are tied.

He was addressing the participants of a programme organized by Karnataka Electricity Board Engineers Association here on Thursday January 17. He said he could have been able to execute plans and projects as per his choice had he been given a free hand by way of heading a government with majority legislators belonging to his party.

Kumaraswamy used this occasion to spit out at the media again. He accused the media of feeding false information to the people by concentrating on political acts containing untrue facts. "Some of the media speculated that the state would be ruled by the governor from January 17 onward. There have been unending speculations about the doom of the coalition government since the day it came into existence. They should stop all these baseless dramas," he said.

You should have thought of it before opting for CM post. You enjoyed as CM with BJP and later on ditched them. Now it is time Congress will ditch you. No party without majority (in coalition) should take up CM post as it will be difficult to satisfy majority group. Even now if your brother remains silent you will have peaceful days ahead.

Everyone will get what they deserve.
One shouldn't focus much on problems but on promises.
Sad, such situations is created for greed of power, instead of addressing peoples problems, dying farmers problems, elected representatives are kept in captivity on Hotels, Resorts of looted money from people! Is there anything more corrupt than this? Where are we heading? Do we see situations improving?
Necessary law have to be enacted to stop defection and luring corruption! Cheating people.
After winning an election, there shouldn't be any scope to leave the party till conclusion of next election.
