Udupi: 77,722 children to be administered polio drops on Feb 3 – DC

Udupi, Jan 17: “The Udupi district administration has kept a target of administering polio drops to 77,722 children on February 3 and 677 booths will opened for the purpose,” said deputy commissioner Priyanka Mary Francis.

She was speaking at the district level Pulse Polio coordination committee meeting held in deputy commissioner’s auditorium, Rajathadri on Monday.

“The programme to administer pulse polio drops will be held in the district at one go on February 3. Therefore, make sure that no child is deprived of polio drops. Pay special attention to areas where migrant labourers reside and administer polio drops. All the departments should extend cooperation to the programme and make it a success,” she said.

She requested voluntary organisations to extend support to the programme.

DHO Dr Rohini, World health Organisation representative Sathischandra, different self help group representatives and officials of different departments were present.
