Udupi: ‘Be Healthy Marathon’ to be held at Brahmavar on Jan 20

Udupi, Jan 17: For the first time in the history, Brahmavar Ekta Event Management and Kalyani Sports Brahmavar, are jointly conducting ‘Be Healthy Marathon – 2019’ on January 20.

The event will be flagged off at 5.30 am near Valentine Ground with the motto ‘Live your Life with Peace’. The event will be held in 10 km for men and 6 km for women categories.

The marathon aims to create health awareness in rural areas.

The winners will receive Rs 11,111 followed by Rs 9,999, Rs 7,777, Rs 5,555, Rs 3,333 and Rs 2,222 with trophies, medals and certificates.

German citizens Rooth and Desiri, who is teacher at a local school, extended their support.

The last date for registration for the participants is January 19. All the participants will be given jerseys and caps.

Amrith Shenoy, businessman, is the honourable president of the organising committee, while Khaleel Keradi, president, Sunil Kumar, vice president, Prashanth Kunder, general secretary, Mushahid, media co-coordinator and Prashanth Poojary is the designer of the event.

With the entry Fee Rs 250, the event is open to all.
